Fascism is recognized to have first been officially developed by Benito Mussolini, who came to power in Italy in 1922. To sum up fascism in one word would be to say "anti-liberalism".

...............Socialism and Democracy. Political doctrines pass; peoples remain. It is to be expected that this century may be that of authority, a century of the "Right," a Fascist century."

Was that a Fox Fair and Balanced Healthcare interview?

In an interview with Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), Fox News's Shepard Smith argued FOR a public option.

"Over the last 10 years health care costs in American have skyrocketed. Regular folks cannot afford it, so they tax the system by not getting preventive medicine,"

Insurance costs have gone up and in a normal world this would cause competition and lowered profits but at the same time the costs are bankrupting people insurance industry profits have risen 350 percent.

"Every vote against the public option is a vote for the insurance companies," said Smith.

The growing possibility of a bill without a strong public option "has been an enormous win for the insurance industry,"

The insurance companies strongly support mandating insurance companies with huge fines for not buying their product. At the same time they want no negotiations, no public option, no competition. Insurance monopolies don't think their current exemption to anti-trust laws is enough. Even Standard Oil didn't have a law forcing you to buy their product.

"I wonder what happens to the American people when we come out with legislation which requires everyone to have insurance ... but does not give a public option.

Insurance corporations want the government to force millions more people to buy their insurance with tax dollars while rejecting any oversight of where our money would go or what it would buy.

"How do we keep costs down without a public option?" he asked.

Was this a Fox interviewer actually trying to be "Fair and Balanced"?
